Children sliding on a carton box - my tour guide told me that it was prophesied that Jewish children will play again on this square (of course after the exodus of the Palestinians) [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

fortuna, you have a talent for photography, imo. The theme, framing, lighting on some of these are great. Aside from a little rotation/cropping required in them, they're perfect.

The bedroom of an aristocratic family (around 16th century, if I can remember) in the Plantin-Moretus Museum. The length was surprisingly short, apparently this was because people back in the day basically slept sitting up, as they believed it would aid digestion.
The same monument caught at a different angle. I am not sure what the significance of the building was, looks political... I asked an old lady sitting by me, but unfortunately she didn't speak any English.
The decapitated hand represented. This is the story:
"According to folklore, notably celebrated by a statue in front of the town hall, the city got its name from a legend involving a mythical giant called Antigoon who lived near the Scheldt river. He exacted a toll from those crossing the river, and for those who refused, he severed one of their hands and threw it into the river. Eventually, the giant was slain by a young hero named Brabo, who cut off the giant's own hand and flung it into the river. Hence the name Antwerpen, from Dutch hand werpen, akin to Old English hand and wearpan (to throw), which has evolved to today's warp."
While exploring the city, I found myself having to wait for a mechanical bridge to level down so I could cross the river, while the boats would arrive and pass through. I think it took around 20 minutes or so, and on the other side of the bridge, there were musicians and other civilians greeting the arrivals. It felt like re-visiting the past. The city places a great importance on boats as it was a major source of wealth during the Middle Ages, you can actually find boats integrated into some of the architecture.
It's worth mentioning that Antwerp was filled with immigrants and foreign businesses - halal meat almost everywhere. There's a strange blend between the past and the modern in terms of architecture. While walking down some streets I would not have known I was in a European city, third-world indeed. I also visited another neighborhood, towards the south of Antwerp, where it was greener, and it was filled with Jews.
When I arrived at the city, I was lost and looking for a bus to a hostel, so I asked a White male sitting by me and he was helpful. We started talking, and I made a remark that Belgium was not Belgium any longer pointing to the foreigners and buildings around us, he agreed and laughed. Later, I asked him where he was going, and he told me he was on his way to the mosque...

Everytime I reach the height of a mountain or a hill in 35 Celcius degrees, wanting to slow down, but knowing the joy it will give at the top - repeat to rise and go down; it is worth all the sweat.

I wish I could have filmed the other way, going back from where I went-on at the given start point of the video; but that would have been a little too fast with a IPhone between my break and my fingers.
Next stop, London / South Wales; I hope to make some great safari footage of the wild, dark hordes roaming the streets of London.

Yea; she just repeated "you like beans with it, dear" 30 times until I told do what her pleases. I'm going to have to be more 'rude' from now on.

Incidentally, one tale of Pythagora's death is that he died as a result of his ideal of renouncing beans. Basically, his only escape route was through a bean field, but he was afraid to destroy any in the process of running across because he believed that legumes were I guess "animalistic" in that past lives can incarnate into them, which also ingestion beared the consequences of conflicting his vegetarianism as well as clouding consciousness.

Too much meat; a lot of delicious salads and my usual bread, fruits and yoghurts - I am slowly starting to make a pattern on which days I will allow myself to eat meat.
