When you buy wholesale or in warehouse sales, a case is 12, but you can often buy half case.

I eat raw oats pretty much every day. Never have I tasted wine and thought oh thats really good or thats really bad. Through self evaluation drawing the conclusion that its all pretty much the same when the placebo is much more effective than the actual quality. Professionals would be much less prone to this, but they are rare. Go to a couple of wine tasting events and see, biggest display of mass pretentiousness there is.

I like Black Metal music and accordingly this caught caught my eye today; won't crack it open until this weekend:

I don't do the whole lets stand in a circle and talk about nuances of prune and chocolate covered cherries bullshit. I buy enough wine wholesale that I get to sit in a room and let my dealer pour samples for me as I take my notes. I just buy what I like.

Cool Originally it was to drink the entire bottle on Saturday night, but I figured I'd try it out.

You will eventually grow out of buying spirits for their gimmicky labels.

I've never had this one.
Rather, I prefer sparkling wine, mead and cider.

So when you listed it under your preferred drinks in the post above, was that your alter ego?

Refer to "prefer." Meaning, if I drink, which I rarely do, which I alluded to in "I don't like [it] or drink it that much."
Do you get it: a choice in and a measure of my drinking habits.
Whoa, although condescending the entire time, I got through that without overtly insulting you, m'lady; almost, anyway.

"I prefer"... as in "I don't like it".
Got it.

I don't like it that much, but prefer it over others. Why is that so hard to comprehend.

In context, "that much" translates to: "not liking or drinking it enough to make my fucking own."

Or you're just not intellectually well-rounded, dense in more areas than one, as I know you're not totally obtuse since you can engineer and program.

I am sufficiently rounded, but I am foreign. I am sometimes lead to error by poorly phrased sentences. Don't take that as an offense, but as a reminder that if you wish to be properly understood, you should put effort into how you communicate.
"I don't drink very much at all, but in the event that I do, I prefer sparkling wine, mead, and cider." ... would have been better.
I'm fond of exploring of wines and spirits myself, and I have enough acquaintances in the homebrew community to know that mead drinkers are also often mead makers. It is just about one of the simple brews you can make, and a good use for a surplus of honey.

Semantics, trivialities, princess. I suspect this is how the feminine satiates, justifies itself with believing it has gained the crown, upperhand, victory, whereas the masculine says: "Fuck it; you win whatever it is you think you have won."
