Yes...he alpha-male is the stabilizer. In modern human systems this alpha-male status is monopolized by the institution.
When there's a shift in power and the members sense the alpha deteriorating and losing control, chaos increases within the group - inter-group conflicts multiply....everyone is claiming a higher status. Females begin to estimate which male will replace the dying one....she's evaluating her options so as to invest herself on a winner. This is the only time females are rebellious - if there are no daddy issues.
I like and admire healthy pets, well bred and groomed, but it's just not my personality.
I believe wild animals in their habitats are more Beautiful. Pets are like a copy-of-a-copy-of-copy, especially lapdogs which I do not like. The 'Original' is the Predators which have not been domesticated/emasculated.
This analogy applies to Humanity too. The more Rebellious/Courageous/Explorative souls are more original than the copies. Masculine individuals, rebellious and anti-Authoritarian, are like "closer to Nature" in the same way, despite Humanity already being domesticated for millenniums now.
Good Art references the Original inspiration, a place or tune in Nature. The more and more those are copied, reused, and compiled, the further and further art or music is "natural" and becomes complete Artifice. When the original is no longer referred to, or forgotten, Lethe, that is Artifice. That is the point, Man is separated from his Nature.

Ideology only works to manage human social behavior, and stupidity is the waste it produces. Nature doesn't give a shit about it and will always correct it.

Deception in nature. Imitation. No conscious intent required. No reasoning, no plan....no conspiracy. Trial & error, over time.
Same goes for the parasite-meme. It deceives using mimicry....and is mostly unaware of its own methods. If it were its deception would suffer. The meme. i.e., dogma, ideology, gives it the algorithms for its niche survival and reproductive strategy. It follows scripture and becomes deceptive and imitative...while remaining separate and different from that which it intuitively copies and undermines - plagiarism is part of its MO. Krypsis.

Manimals are convinced that only humans have the moral sense....because they cannot comprehend how other species communicate. They are trapped in their linguistics, and they've learned to manipulate linguistics to protect themselves from anything that threatens their world-view.
Did you know that chimpanzees in Uganda have their own unique drumming style?

Drum beats are primal....having to do with heart rhythm and cellular systolic/diastolic sequences....spirit, esprit.... Melodies are a sophistication, an advancement, imitating flow.....

For the last four days (one day here, one day gone), an injured sulphur crested cockatoo has been coming to my garden. It is part of a flock of about 25 others.
The bird perched on top of a pergola surrounded by a wisteria creeper. I would put a plate of sunflower seeds and a bowl of water for it and it would eat and drink and sit inside this creeper for a full day. It was easy to reach as the top of the pergola was level to my front verandah. The bird was lopsided because of its injury to a wing and could only fly a short distance before a crooked landing back to earth. The second day it perched high up at the back of my property totally inaccessible. The weather has been quite hot hitting the 30's so I decided to call the Wildlife Rescue. They gave me various ways to catch the bird which were not feasible as I have five dogs and ground enticements were out of the question.
I almost gave up, but then yesterday around dusk it came back with two other cockatoos from its flock and perched on the pergola. I hastily rang the Wildlife Department and he put out a call to all volunteers within a 40 kilometre radius hoping someone would pick up the call and someone did.
A woman called me, she was only 5 minutes away from where I lived.
She came armed with a net, bag and cage.
The other two birds were frightened off by her intrusion and the injured one tried to fly away but landed further down garden in some bushes, as she was trying to net it, a single cockatoo flew over high above screeching, followed by a flock of about 25 others screeching, flying in a circle, then flying away.
She continued to untangle the captured bird and again the flock came back screeching and flying low in a circle.
She managed to put the injured bird in the cage, which will be taken to a vet, treated and cared for for 5 to 8 weeks and brought back to my property to rejoin the flock.
She also promised to keep me updated.
Such dedicated people.

Bird was taken to vet where it was discovered it had been shot with a pellet gun. Apparently it was a good patient and seemed to know the people were there to help. It is now with a carer and other cockatoos until it recovers and let back into the wild.
